Bigeyes Scad, also called by Me-aji / Aji / マアジ / 色拉鱼 / 새가라지 / Matam Baka / Selar / Cá Tráo / Cá Nục mắt to , scientifically known as Selar crumenophthalmus , is a kind of fish living in Vietnamese Seas from central to south.
Other common names include Purse-eyed scad, Goggle-eyed scad, Akule, Chicharro, Charrito ojón, Jacks, matang baka.
Our Bigeyes Scad ( Selar crumenophthalmus ) is caught at Southern Mekong seas & Thai-gulf, is blessed with abundant marine resources, making it an ideal location for fishing.
Bigeyes Scad, Me-aji / Aji / マアジ volume is small due to the fishery is slightly decreasing in recent years, however that also contributes to make Vietnam seafood export become diversity and interesting, besides the main products
